Gewan became popular in Qing dynasty as an individual tea serving cup. It can also be used as a teapot to brew tea. One Gewan can hold 170 ml of water. It is ideal for green tea/ light roasted tea due to it's thinness and can transmit heat quickly. This tea set has been used few times in the tea ceremony, but maintain very well.
